Once you sign up for the beta, you'll receive a confirmation email stating that those selected to participate in the beta will receive an email notifying them. The beta allegedly allows for cross-platform gaming.
Here's what we know about "A Realm Reborn" so far. The game won't be free to play, but when you purchase it, the first 30 days are included for free. It will be supported by monthly subscriptions.
All of your characters will be able to transfer over from "Final Fantasy 14" to "A Realm Reborn." The latter will be stuffed with brand new and reimagined content. The UI has also been completely rebuilt. Flexibility is abound in "A Realm Reborn." With one character, you can switch between classes just by switching the gear on that character. Therefore, you'll be able to max out the level on each class with just one character.
Crafting will also see some changes in "A Realm Reborn." Whereas crafting generated results pretty randomly in the past, crafting aims to be a more streamlined and rewarding endeavor. The game will also feature content that harkens back to past "Final Fantasy" games, including gear, dungeons, territories and more.
Will you be participating in the beta? Why or why not? Are you looking forward to the release? Why or why not? If you have participated in the beta, what did you think of it? What features did you like best or didn't like at all? Sound off in the comments below.
