FINAL SCORE: Heat Snap Losing Streak, Beat Lakers, 94-88
There was no crying at American Airlines Arena, as the Miami Heat prevailed over the Lakers, 94-88, in a tight contest.
In a game that featured Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, the Lakers and Heat got strong performances from Pau Gasol and Chris Bosh, respectively.
Gasol scored 20 points and added five rebounds, while Bosh scored 24 points and also had nine rebounds.
The performance from Bosh might be something to look back on as the season progresses, since Bosh has been in somewhat of a slump in recent weeks.
Bryant scored 24 points off eight-of-21 shooting. James nearly had a triple-double night, scoring 19 points, while also pulling down eight rebounds to go along with nine assists.
Dwyane Wade finished strong for the Heat. Not only did the guard score eight of 20 point in the fourth quarter, his lay-up with 46 seconds remainingput the game out of reach.
The Heat appear to have the Lakers' number. They swept the series, and have beaten the Lakers six of the last seven times they've met.
The Lakers went into the game riding an eight-game winning streak, while the Heat were on a five-game losing streak. Both those streaks are over.
The Lakers fall to a record of 46-20, while the Heat improve to 44-21.
