Fire Injures 6 At Rockefeller Center
Fire broke out on the observation deck at Rockefeller Center in New York Sunday, fire officials said. The fire, which was put out before firefighters arrived, began in a camera on an elevated section, showering the deck with embers, CNN reported.
Five adults and one child were injured, fire spokesman Khalid Baylor said. The child was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
The fire started about 7:30 p.m., the Associated Press reported. There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
The 70-story, Art Deco-style building houses NBC and the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. The building opened in 1933.
