Pharrell Williams is the golden boy of the famed French fashion brand Chanel.

It was recently revealed that the rapper-producer-singer-songwriter would be the first man to appear in a handbag ad campaign for Chanel. Images from the luxury brand's new campaign were set to drop April 3, WWD reported Friday.

The campaign will also feature Chanel ambassadors like model Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and Caroline de Maigret. The ads will showcase the “Gabrielle” bag (named for the founder of the fashion house). The silhouette of the bag was inspired by virtual reality goggles, a seemingly pansexual accessory. Versions of the Gabrielle bag debuted during Chanel’s space-inspired fall 2017 women’s ready-to-wear collection (a Chanel “rocket ship” even lifted off 33 feet from the ground at the end of the show). According to Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the handbag is versatile enough to be worn by many – including a man.

“It’s not very feminine in the sense of being chichi,” Lagerfeld said via WWD.

Pharrell, a Chanel brand ambassador, has been a longtime fan of both Chanel and Lagerfeld. The Grammy Award winner recently appeared in a short film, “Reincarnation” in 2014, directed by Lagerfeld.

Pharrell, of course, attended the designer’s show during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month and was even recognized by French Culture Minister, Audrey Azoulay, as an officer of the Order of arts and Letters.

“This is another level,” Pharrell had said upon receiving the award. He had expressed that he wished his wife and kids to be there, but added, “Trust me, I’ll go back and tell them every detail,” according to Billboard.

As for Lagerfeld, the iconic designer behind Chanel and Fendi announced that he will be releasing a collection of affordable eveningwear, including gowns and cocktail dresses, under his own Karl Lagerfeld Paris line, Cosmopolitan reported. Prices for the collection start at $138.
