FKA Twigs Flaunts Engagement Ring From Robert Pattinson At Met Gala

Robert Pattinson and fiancée FKA twigs appeared publicly May 4 at the 2015 Met Gala in New York City. It was the first time the pair made a public appearance as a couple. They even unleashed some public displays of affection while posing for photos on the red carpet. The highlight of the evening was not FKA twigs' quirky and bold multicolored dress by Christopher Kane, with a man’s private parts drawn on it, but the mega-carat bauble that she was flaunting on her ring finger.

MAS Bisjoux jewelry revealed details on the British beauty’s engagement ring. “FKA twigs is sporting a highly stylized bow-shaped ring featuring a pear-shaped diamond of approximately 4 carats with an approximate value of $150,000,” Morgan Shara of the company told E! Online. The jewelry designer and founder of MAS added that the diamond is “quite the unique setting for quite the unique lady.”

FKA twigs first began wearing the bauble last month and has since then worn the ring on multiple occasions, including at the Swarovski Crystal gala and her arrival in New York City. The ring looks like an abstract-shaped creation with mostly smaller diamonds adorning the yellow gold piece. The ring is split into two shapes above and below the molded band. The top, a smaller round shape with the bottom featuring a larger oval. According to jeweler Mark Keeney of Ritani, "FKA twigs' ring looks to be a custom style, possibly vintage. It features a pear-shaped diamond, which looks to be between 1 and 2 carats, set in a French-set halo. He said that two round bezel-set diamonds have been set vertically on the finger, for an art-deco inspired look, in keeping with the singer's eccentric personality.

The “Two Weeks” singer is all set to marry the British actor. The “Twilight” alum popped the question in March. Musician T-Pain broke the news of the couple’s engagement by mistake April 1 in an interview with Vulture. Robert, 28, and twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, got engaged after a whirlwind romance of eight months.

The pair has not yet confirmed the news themselves. It was recently claimed that while Robert’s family wants the actor to have a “church wedding,” his fiancée wants something a little less formal. According to reports, twigs wants to get married soon and have a low-key registry office ceremony, pub lunch and party with their friends in London in August.
