‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: Carlos Valdes Reveals Caitlin Is Keeping Secrets From The Team
Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is hiding some things from Team Flash.
In a recent interview, Entertainment Weekly asked Carlos Valdes how his character, Cisco, would help Caitlin quell her Killer Frost tendencies in future episodes of “The Flash.” But instead of answering the question directly, the 27-year-old actor dropped a minor spoiler about Caitlin’s Season 2 arc.
“Caitlin has some secrets of her own that are going to come to light and are going to change not just the dynamic of the team, but also her own feelings about her dynamic within the team,” Valdes teased. “It all comes to a head.”
While it remains to be seen what those secrets are about, executive producer Aaron Helbing told Entertainment Weekly that Caitlin’s struggle in controlling her powers is something that she’s going to deal with throughout the season. “Right now, it’s more of her getting control of her powers, but in the back of her mind, it’s always, ‘You’re going to become Killer Frost. At any moment, you could slip up and go to the dark side,’ like she was in episode 7,” Helbing said of Caitlin’s Season 2 journey. “That’s going to be a struggle that she’s going to deal with the rest of the season.”
Caitlin’s Season 2 arc, however, may not end well for her and for the people around her, as Helbing teased to TV Guide that following Caitlin’s journey this season is “watching a tragic story unfold.”
An all-new episode of “The Flash” airs on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 3, episode 13, titled “Attack on Gorilla City,” below:
“When Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin, Cisco and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. (Cavanagh) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs.”
