‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: Danielle Panabaker On The Possibility Of Wally West Becoming A Villain
Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) could be the next evil speedster in Central City.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, “The Flash” actress Danielle Panabaker said that Team Flash is “absolutely” nervous about the possibility of Wally becoming a villain, especially in the next episode where he has started to dream about being the Kid Flash in the Flashpoint timeline.
“There are so many questions about Doctor Alchemy and his intentions, and how he’s going about turning people evil,” said Panabaker who plays Caitlin Snow on the CW series. “[But] as much as we’ve seen, all Doctor Alchemy does is turn people bad. He’s not out there like Santa Claus giving people wonderful, delightful gifts.”
The synopsis for Season 3, episode 6 of “The Flash” revealed that Wally is starting to have visions of his superhero life in the Flashpoint timeline, and that means that it’s just a matter of time before Doctor Alchemy grants him super powers and takes over his mind.
As previously revealed on the show, Doctor Alchemy is transforming everyone who had powers in the Flashpoint timeline into a metahuman through a mysterious process that is yet to be revealed. Edward Clariss (Todd Lasance) and Frankie Kane (Joey King) were the first two individuals that were given powers by Doctor Alchemy. Edward became the villainous speedster called The Rival while Frankie was turned into Magneto-like metahuman named Magenta.
Since Team Flash expects that Doctor Alchemy will try to get Wally to come to his lair just like what the baddie did to Edward and Frankie, they decide to lock him up in one of the metahuman cells at S.T.A.R. Labs. Wally, however — as seen in the trailer for the episode — gets out the cell and finds himself in a fist fight with his very own sister, Iris West (Candice Patton). Could this be the start of Wally turning evil? Only time will tell.
“The Flash” Season 3, episode 6, entitled “Shade,” airs on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
