“The Flash” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had nothing but praise for Katee Sackhoff, who is set to make her debut as Amunet Black in next week’s episode of the CW series.

“Katee is so amazing in the show. The performance that she has brought to the character is so beyond anything you’d expect from her,” Kreisberg told TVLine of what viewers can expect from the actress’ first appearance in Season 4, episode 5. “She is most definitely not playing [a character similar to her ‘Battlestar Galactica’ role] Starbuck.”

As previously reported, Amunet, aka Blacksmith, is a “steely” and “badass boss” of an underground black market for supervillains. In the Season 4 premiere, it was revealed that Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) was working for her. But after Caitlin abruptly cut her ties with Amunet after rejoining Team Flash at the end of the season-opener, Amunet shows up in next week’s episode to seemingly take Caitlin back to the black market.

“Caitlin is struggling and attempting to separate herself from Amunet,” Panabaker told Entertainment Weekly last month. “Obviously Killer Frost is an incredible tool and an incredible ally to have. She’s very powerful, so I don’t think Amunet wants to let her go.”

When asked what it’s been like working with Sackhoff, Panabaker told TVLine that the “Longmire” actress is an “incredible addition to the show.”

“She was fantastic,” Panabaker added of the series newcomer in a separate interview with FanSided. “I think she is really embracing the villainess role. I feel very lucky that we were able to get her on our show and I’m so excited for her to come back.”

Aside from Amunet’s debut in episode 5, the installment also features Iris’ (Candice Patton) bachelorette party and Barry’s (Grant Gustin) bachelor party.

“We wanted to do something we’d never done before,” Kreisberg said (via ComicBook.com) of their goal for episode 5. “It’s interesting, because I think it’s the first episode we’ve ever done where Barry doesn’t wear the suit.”

“We started with the concept of ‘wouldn’t it be really funny if Barry goes for a bachelor party with the guys, and Iris goes for a bachelorette party with the girls, and the guys end up having the worst night ever and the girls end up saving the city?’” Kreisberg said of how the idea for the episode came about. “That was where the episode started from, and that’s where it ended up.”

“The Flash” Season 4, episode 5, titled “Girls Night Out,” airs Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
