For the first time in CW’s “The Flash” history, viewers won’t see Barry don his superhero suit in Season 4, episode 5, titled “Girls Night Out.”

“We wanted to do something we’d never done before,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told ComicBook.com and other news outlets following a screening of tonight’s episode, “Elongated Journey Into Night.” It's interesting, because I think it’s the first episode we’ve ever done where Barry (Grant Gustin) doesn’t wear the suit.”

While Kreisberg didn’t offer an explanation as to why Barry ends up not wearing his suit in the episode, promo photos for the installment suggest that he, along with Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and new character Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), is arrested and put to jail.

“We started with the concept of ‘wouldn’t it be really funny if Barry goes for a bachelor party with the guys, and Iris (Candice Patton) goes for a bachelorette party with the girls, and the guys end up having the worst night ever and the girls end up saving the city?’” Kreisberg said of how the idea for the episode came about. “That was where the episode started from, and that’s where it ended up.”

In an interview with TVLine, Danielle Panabaker said that the installment is one of her “favorite episodes of this season so far.” Describing it as “awesome,” the actress said that the episode features a long-overdue “great bonding time with all of the women on the show.” “You’ll see them really together in a way you haven’t seen before,” Panabaker teased.

The episode is particularly huge for Caitlin, as her villainous alter ego Killer Frost resurfaces during Iris’ bachelorette party. “When Killer Frost shows up, Iris has a lot of compassion for Killer Frost and a lot of compassion for Caitlin and is pivotal in helping Caitlin reconcile herself with her past and some of the mistakes that Killer Frost made,” Panabaker told Entertainment Weekly.

The news outlet added that the connection between Killer Frost and Amunet Black (Katee Sackhoff) will be explored in-depth during the episode, so it won’t be surprising if Amunet turns out to be the catalyst that triggers Killer Frost to take over Caitlin once again.

“The Flash” Season 4, episode 5 airs Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
