‘The Flash’ Star Malese Jow Would Be Happy To Reprise Her Role As Linda Park/Doctor Light In Season 3 Of The CW Series
Malese Jow would like to return to “The Flash.”
Jow expressed her desire to reprise her role as Linda Park/Doctor Light on “The Flash” in a Twitter post she wrote on Monday, Oct. 24, in response to a tweet from Candice Patton, who plays Iris West on the CW series.
When Patton was asked by a fan if Jow is coming back for Season 3, Patton replied: “I don't know but it would make me very happy. cc: @xoMalese.”
Jow saw Patton’s tweet and responded: “Me too I miss you.”
In an interview with Comicbook.com earlier this month, executive producer Todd Helbing was asked if Jow is returning this season and he answered: “I don’t know. [But] I would say yes, because on ‘The Flash,’ we certainly love Malese. She’s fantastic.”
Although Helbing said that they “don’t have any plans right now” to bring back Jow, he noted that the 25-year-old actress is “fantastic and Doctor Light’s awesome” so he “wouldn’t be surprised if she shows up” at some point.
Linda and her Earth-2 metahuman doppelgänger Doctor Light last appeared in Season 2, episode 6, entitled, “Enter Zoom.” In the episode, Linda masqueraded as Doctor Light as part of a plan to catch Zoom (Teddy Sears). But after their plan failed, Linda moved to Coast City to protect herself from Zoom and Doctor Light, who escaped from S.T.A.R. Labs.
Although Linda left Central City and Doctor Light went missing, Jow told ScreenTV.com last November that there are more stories to be told about her characters, so it’s likely that fans haven’t seen the last of them yet.
“I feel like there is a lot of potential with Linda and Doctor Light, so we’ll see where the writers take the storyline,” the actress said.
