A Florida pain management doctor was arrested after three female victims came forward and accused him of touching them inappropriately while delivering treatment.
On Tuesday, 66-year-old Raul David Davila was arrested on sexual battery and two counts of battery charges by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. According to Investigators, three of the victims were visiting Davila at an office at 8192 College Parkway in south Fort Myers where the inappropriate encounters happened, reported WINK-TV.
One victim said she walked out of the room after telling Davila “no” when he started touching her inappropriately. Davila then took her to another room where he asked her to keep the incident a secret and blamed her for the incident because she is “so beautiful,” said the police.
Another victim told the police that Davila refused to hand her medications until she sat on his lap. She told the police that while she was sitting on his lap, Davila allegedly started rubbing his hands on her back, then moved his hand down to her buttocks and inside her underwear.
The third victim said that Davila allegedly pulled down her pants, exposing her underwear. She also accused him of pulling down the side of her shirt, exposing one of her breasts, reported WZVN-TV.
According to Davila’s arrest report, he was accused of sexual battery on a female patient aged 12 years or older in July, one count of battery on a female patient in January 2021 and accused of another battery on a female in March 2020. Two of the female victims told police that Davila would use a “massage gun” to treat pain and then touch them in a sexual way during the patient visits. Davila is listed as a practicing general anesthesiologist.
One of the victims told investigators that male patients of Davila would leave his office within few minutes during patient visits but female patients would be seen by him from 45 minutes to an hour.
Investigators were also told by a victim that Davila would meet her in his office or another room to stretch because he knew yoga. He allegedly told her that he is not allowed to touch patients because he is not a licensed physical therapist. Davila asked her not to disclose this information to anyone.
Davila was released from Lee County Jail Wednesday on a $30,000 bond and his medical license is active.
