Florida Woman Arrested For Filming Child Porn With Infant Son

A kindergarten teacher from Florida was arrested Thursday for making child porn with her son. Audra Mabel was accused of filming sexually explicit videos with her 1-year-old son and sharing them with her ex-boyfriend.

Mabel was arrested after investigators found as many as 10 explicit videos of Mabel and her one-year-old son on her phone. One of the videos was of the child’s genitals and another had Mabel masturbating while breastfeeding, according to a report by Newsweek. Another clip showed the 34-year-old woman putting a camera up her skirt, and later turning it around to reveal a classroom full of children.

When Mabel was contacted by authorities, she confessed to producing the videos and sharing them with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Richie, since the two of them fantasized about child sex abuse. According to the complaint registered against the two, “Mabel and [Ritchie] also read stories to each other about sex between children and adults.” They broke up in 2018 after Ritchie refused to leave his wife.

Ritchie himself was arrested two weeks ago for molesting his own daughter, and his arrest led to Mabel being investigated. His wife reported to the police their daughter said she was touched inappropriately. The woman was bathing her three children when the four-year-old told her Ritchie had touched her genitals several times — including with an electric tooth brush and also performed oral sex on her. Ritchie was arrested March 8 after a forensic investigator interviewed the girl. Investigators also found videos of the incidents on his phone.

In 2017, Mabel used to be a primary teacher in a school Lansing, Michigan, which is where she said she made the videos. She claimed to have sent them to Ritchie only after she moved to Florida in 2018. She worked as a kindergarten teacher at Spring Lake Elementary School in Altamonte Springs. She was fired from the school after they learnt of the allegations against her.

Seminole County Public Schools Communication Officer Michael Lawrence said that before Mabel’s arrest, there were no “red flags about her” since the school ran extensive background checks on all the teachers. He also said the incident was reported to the Bureau of Professional Practices.

Mabel was charged with creating child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child while Ritchie was charged with sexual assault of a child. They were both being held at the Seminole County Jail without bond before their April hearing.
