Two roommates in Florida were arrested earlier this week after they allegedly pelted a man with containers of glitter during an argument at the victim's home.

Kaitlin O'Donovan and Sarah Franks, aged 27 and 29, respectively, arrived at the residence of Jacob Colon located along Fairwood Avenue in Clearwater shortly past 2:50 a.m. Monday and began to argue with the homeowner, the Smoking Gun reported, citing the women's arrest affidavits from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

During the argument, each of the women threw a container of glitter at Colon, who was standing on his fenced balcony, striking the victim "in the upper torso and head," police said.

Franks allegedly climbed over Colon's ground-level balcony fence, entered his apartment and "engaged the victim again by throwing more containers of glitter at him," according to the affidavits.

She then unlocked Colon's front door, which allowed O'Donovan to enter, and the two proceeded to throw containers of glitter at the victim again.

Franks and O'Donovan fled from the scene in a car, but not before the former kicked one of the windows in Colon's home and broke it, authorities said.

The duo's getaway vehicle was later tracked to their shared apartment located along Seville Boulevard — around two miles away from Colon's home — with the car "still warm to the touch" and glitter "observed on the inside of the vehicle," the police documents indicated.

The two women were arrested shortly before 4:20 a.m. for felony burglary with assault or battery. Franks faced an additional charge of criminal mischief for allegedly breaking Colon's window.

Both Franks and O'Donovan invoked their rights and wished not to speak during their arrests.

Franks was released from jail Monday morning after posting a $75,250 bond. O'Donovan, meanwhile, reportedly remained in custody at the Pinellas County jail.

A judge has ordered both women to have no contact with Colon.

Police did not disclose the nature of the argument at the victim's residence, and the relationships between Colon, Franks and O'Donovan were unclear.

Authorities also did not reveal if Colon sustained any injuries from the attack.
