Floyd Mayweather has claimed that his fighter is a mix of Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson.

Undefeated boxing champ and promoter Mayweather recently made a bold comparison between his fighter Gervonta Davis, himself, Pacquiao and Tyson.

In a quick interview with Ellie Sechback of EsNews, Mayweather was asked about the recent comparison Davis to Tyson. With Mayweather being Mayweather, he responded by explaining that his fighter is more like himself during his “Pretty Boy” days. But in the end, Mayweather emphasized that Davis also has the fierceness of Pacquiao and power of Tyson.

“It’s best to say (Davis) a mix of a little of Pacquiao, a little bit of Mayweather, a little bit of Tyson,” Mayweather pointed out.

Davis is starting to gain popularity in boxing. As an undefeated champ, Davis is now being celebrated even in other sports. Just recently, Davis was cheered by a massive Baltimore Ravens crowd during the team’s match against the Arizona Cardinals. As soon as Davis’ face appeared on M&T Bank stadium, the Ravens crowd of approximately 80,000 people went loud.

This was not the first time a young boxer was compared to a boxing superstar. In fact, in 2015, Floyd Mayweather Sr. himself stated that he already found the fighter who could follow the footsteps of his son.

According to Mayweather Sr., lightweight sensation Devin Haney could be “the future Mayweather” in boxing.

“There’s going to be another Floyd, I got one already, his name is Devin Haney. Believe me, remember what I told you here on September 13, 2015,” Mayweather Sr. told Inside The Ropes in 2015.

Meanwhile, Mayweather Jr. recently stated on social media that he and Pacquiao are about to participate in an exhibition match in Tokyo, Japan. However, hours after Mayweather posted the video on Instagram, Pacquiao shut down Mayweather’s claim and said that if there will be a match between them, it should be a real fight, PhilStar Global reported.

“Why an exhibition? Make it a real fight," Pacquiao said.

Prior to the said exhibition match Mayweather came up with, reports claim that t 40-year-old was also going to hold a boxing match in China next year.

According to a source, the Hainan government already approved the match and a press conference will announce the details soon.

“The press conference will announce that Mayweather will hold a boxing match in China next year. We have already got the Hainan government’s temporary approval for this event,” source said.
