It was only a matter of time before the big money would pour in on Floyd Mayweather. With the betting odds steadily shifting towards Conor McGregor for the last few months, gamblers pounced on the favorite, causing a change in the moneyline with the super-fight just hours away.

Two seven-figure bets were placed on Mayweather Thursday at Las Vegas sportsbooks, according to ESPN.com. The MGM sportsbook took a $1 million wager on Mayweather at -550, and William Hill's Nevada sportsbook took a $1.2 million bet on the undefeated boxer at -500. Both books also took $300,000 bets on Mayweather.

Mayweather has been the favorite since odds were created for the fight last year, but his odds have dipped dramatically with most of the bets coming in on McGregor. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook made him a -2500 favorite when the idea of the fight started getting traction, and his odds moved to -1100 when the bout became official. McGregor was a +700 underdog when the fight was announced on June 14, but his odds eventually dropped closer to +400 at various Las Vegas sportsbooks.

All of the action on McGregor forced some online sportsbooks to place his odds as low as +300, making Mayweather just a -400 favorite. Multiple betting websites moved Mayweather up to -450 Thursday, via OddsShark, while his odds are back between -550 and -650 in Las Vegas.

Considered to be the greatest boxer of his generation, Mayweather is typically an overwhelming favorite. He had -3000 odds to defeat Andre Berto two years ago when he last stepped in the ring. McGregor was initially made a heavy underdog because he has no previous professional boxing experience, and Saturday will be his first pro boxing match.

Even with the recent bets, sportsbooks are rooting for Mayweather to get the victory Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Most gamblers have taken a chance on the long shot, who they’ve seen dominate the UFC over the last few years.

McGregor made history in 2015 and 2016, winning fights at three different weight classes and holding two belts simultaneously. He showcased tremendous knockout power, and there are plenty of believers that think McGregor’s vaunted left hand will send Mayweather to the canvas and cause the first blemish on his perfect record.

Mayweather isn’t the only heavy favorite that will step into the ring Saturday night. Three fights will precede the main event on the biggest card of 2017.
