Adding more fuel to the Ford (F) Bronco 4x4 rumors, a vehicle that looks eerily similar to a Raptor-like Bronco was reportedly spotted in Michigan. This new vehicle variant had all the makings of Ford’s F-150 Raptor, making it possible that a Bronco Raptor model is also on the way from the automaker.

Ford has been relatively mum about the Bronco, which is expected to launch this spring, except for a few teaser videos. But the Bronco 4x4 and a Baby Bronco, which is through to be dubbed the Maverick, have been spotted with heavy camouflage during testing.

The most recent sighting has been a beefier looking Bronco, which could allow Ford to compete with the Wrangler Rubicon, Motor Trend reported. This Raptor version of the Bronco was also camouflaged, but some details were apparent at first glance.

Differences in this more rugged SUV and the Bronco 4x4 that has been seen is flared fenders, raised suspension, and beefed up off-road tires fitted with 17-inch wheels, which is reminiscent of the F-150 Raptor, according to Motor Trend.

The Raptor version of the Bronco is also reportedly expected to be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 powertrain that could develop more than 300 horsepower. Ford’s F-150 Raptor is driven by a 3.5-liter V6.

Shares of Ford stock were down 0.89% as of 2:23 p.m. EST on Wednesday.
