Former 'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Star Sues Jail After Allegedly Almost Dying In Brutal Attack
Former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Lauri Peterson's son, Josh Waring is suing the county jail he was once held at.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Waring claims that the attack he suffered while in the Orange County men's prison in October was out of retaliation for complaints about the sheriff's deputies and that the prison guards told him this.
"I was fighting for my life … I was screaming," Waring explained shortly after the altercation which involved another inmate attacking him with a razor blade.
"As he’s punching me, the blade sliced up my face and chest," he said as his voice cracked.

Waring alleged that while at the Intake/Release Center in Orange County a fellow inmate assaulted him with a makeshift weapon made from blades and a pencil. He was treated in the infirmary, where he revealed he received stitches across his face and staples down his chest and returned to the same part of the jail.
Peterson's son was in "terrible pain" following the incident but wanted to get out a few last words just in case something else was to happen where he isn't so lucky to make it out with stitches.
"If I do die in here, I just want people to know I am innocent of the shooting," he said.
Waring was released from jail after accepting a plea deal that involved him pleading guilty to lesser charges. He was in custody for almost four years.
"He was looking at a potential sentence of 65 years to life, and getting out today will mark the beginning of a new life for him," Waring's attorney Joel Garson told People in early March.
Longtime fans of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" may remember Lauri, as well as her son, who's struggled with alcohol and drugs. She was part of the inaugural cast and remained for four seasons before exiting the franchise in 2008. During her time on the show, Waring's dealings with the law were such an issue that it became part of his mother's tagline.
