KEY POINTS

  • Unleash the berzerker rage of Wolverine by completing the Wolverine challenges on "Fortnite"
  • There are two Wolverine skins to unlock: blue and yellow and the 1980s tan and yellow
  • The Marvel Crossover Season on "Fortnite" continues to add more fan-favorite characters

A special unlockable skin featuring popular X-Men character Wolverine has been added to the Season 4 battle pass of “Fortnite.”

Through a progression of challenges, players will be able to unlock the berserker raging Canadian, the Wolverine skin itself, and a special “Snikt!” emote for the character. When this is triggered, players can replace their pickaxe with Wolverine’s trademark adamantium claws and switch back and forth any time.

Fans of Wolverine from the comics will likely get a chuckle out of that since “Snikt!” is the traditional comics sound effect when his adamantium claws are popped out.

GameSpot said that players can also unlock a special loading screen, icon, glider, back bling, weapon skin, and harvesting tool after completing the weekly Wolverine challenges.

“Fortnite” gamers just need to buy the Season 4 Battle Pass and complete all Wolverine challenges for the standard blue and yellow Wolverine skin to be claimed.

To claim what is termed the “classic” Wolverine tan and yellow look from the 1980s, purchase the Season 4 Battle Pass, unlock the Wolverine skin, and complete 10 challenges from Week 5 or 6.

The Week 6 challenge for Wolverine is now live and requires players to defeat Wolverine at the Weeping Woods location. Remember that the former Weapon X also has a healing factor, which means after taking him down, he will get back up almost instantly.

It is therefore advisable to bring a few friends along when taking Wolverine on. Those friends can deal with other enemies as the player can focus on the mutant. Otherwise, the battle will be considerably more difficult.

As this Marvel Crossover Season of “Fortnite” has progressed, more Marvel characters have made their respective debuts in the title. The most recent addition was the vampire hunter Blade, complete with the Sword of the Daywalker at his command.

Since his first appearance in 1974’s “The Incredible Hulk #180,” Wolverine has grown in popularity over the decades. He has since made a name for himself as part of the the X-Men and even became an Avenger for a time while starring in his own comics.

After Hugh Jackman portrayed the rugged Canadian in several motion pictures, he retired from the role with the gritty “Logan” released in 2017. In video games, however, Wolverine remains accessible especially right here in the battle royale that is “Fortnite.”
