‘The Fosters’ Season 2 Spoilers: EP Explains Major Cliffhangers, Possible Hate Tweets From Fans
“The Fosters” Season 2 will air its spring finale episode on Tuesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. EST.
Ahead of the installment, executive producer Peter Paige shared some details from “Until Tomorrow.” While speaking with TV Line, Callie (Maia Mitchell) would have to make a very tough decision in the episode after the district attorney offers her a plea deal. Callie only has 24 hours to think about and decide whether or not she will accept it.

While this is happening, Stef (Teri Polo) will try to help Callie in more ways than one. However, she will also struggle because she’s also helping Diamond (Hope Olaide Wilson) find justice against her pimp. Elsewhere in the episode, Stef and Mike (Danny Nucci) will hunt for leads in Martha’s murder. Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) will also rally the students at Anchor Beach to join her in a protest against the school’s officials.
Meanwhile, episode 20 will end with several cliffhangers that Paige promises will be addressed when the hit Freeform TV series returns for Season 5 on July 11. “Everyone is engaged in something pretty intense. Mariana’s secret Twitter account has come out, and the ramifications from that will be felt throughout the family. Jesus seems to be onto the news of Emma’s pregnancy… And Lena is facing the very, very real challenge of watching Anchor Beach potentially turn into a private school,” Paige said.
Additionally, the exec said that he’s ready to receive hate tweets from fans who wouldn’t be pleased with all of the cliffhangers. But Paige guarantees that the finale episode will be worth watching. “I’m super proud of the finale and the stories that we’re telling. They’re very real and very important. That sometimes, they can be shocking,” he said.
