Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Brandon (David Lambert) had sex in episode 9 of "The Fosters" Season 3 and that changes everything. Callie and the family have been fighting all season for her adoption to get through the courts, but the couple's late night rendezvous could doom her chances of staying with Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum). According to the synopsis for the new episode, Callie and Brandon plan on telling their moms about their relationship, but some surprising news might alter those plans. The promo for the episode reveals that, after Callie helped Rita clear her name at Girls United, the social worker is helping to recommend adoption to the judge. Callie and Brandon had slept together believing that her chances of adoption were gone. Now they will have to face a court hearing while trying to conceal the truth about their relationship. This could get messy!

Callie and Brandon are not the only relationship in the house facing problems. After Stef confronted Lena about her kiss with Monte (Annika Marks) in episode 9, the couple is on rocky terms. The synopsis reveals that the pair will have to host Lena's parents for their anniversary dinner party in the wake of their own marital problems. Can Stef and Lena keep it together for the party? The tension in their marriage has been building all season and this might be the breaking point for the struggling parents.

Will Callie and Brandon confess that they had sex? Can Stef and Lena save their marriage? Fans will have to wait to find out. The summer finale of "The Fosters" airs Monday, Aug. 17, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC Family.
