‘The Fosters’ Season 4 Spoilers: Callie Catches AJ Cheating In Episode 17? [RECAP]
“The Fosters” Season 4, episode 17 recently saw AJ (Tom Williamson) kissing another girl while he’s still in a relationship with Callie (Maia Mitchell).
In “Diamond in the Rough,” Callie and AJ have been experiencing some problems. The latter thinks that Callie is focusing too much on herself and her desire to find justice for her friend that she’s starting to neglect him. AJ has already told Callie that he feels she’s not 100 percent into him anymore, but she denied it. After Callie decides she is finally ready to patch things up with AJ, however, she sees him kissing another girl.
Callie also had a fling with her good friend Aaron (Elliot Fletcher), so she thinks that AJ kissing another girl isn’t a huge problem. But when she tries to talk to him, AJ tells Callie that he is no longer sure about their future. Their conversation shifts to AJ’s decision about being adopted by Mike (Danny Nucci). Callie tells AJ that it’s fine if he wants to live with his brother, Ty (Chris Warren), instead.

Elsewhere in the episode, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) tries to make it up to Jesus (Noah Centineo) by encouraging him to be involved in a school project. Since his accident, Jesus has had a hard time recovering, so he is in danger of repeating his third year in high school. In an attempt to make sure that he will become a senior next year, Mariana asks their school principal to allow Jesus to design a tree house. Unfortunately, the principal doesn’t agree.
The principal gets involved in another issue in the episode. Since he wants to take over Monte’s (Annika Marks) position, he comes up with a scheme that could make her lose her job. Previously, Stef (Sherri Saum) and Monte agreed that a sex education class centered on LGBTQ should be part of the curriculum. The principal made it seem as though the parents complained, but it was actually him who told the board about it.
“The Fosters” Season 4 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Freeform.
