Fox News Admits Mistake In Editing Donald Trump Out Of Picture With Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell

Fox News on Monday admitted to making a mistake in editing out President Trump's image from a photo with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein's recently arrested cohort Ghislaine Maxwell.

“On Sunday, July 5, a report on Ghislaine Maxwell during Fox News Channel's 'America's News HQ' mistakenly eliminated President Donald Trump from a photo alongside then Melania Knauss, Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell,” a statement from news network read. “We regret the error.”

The photo featured Trump and wife Melania alongside Epstein and Maxwell at a party hosted at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in February 2000. The cropped photo drew heavy criticism from media outlets, which accused Fox News of attempting to gloss over Trump's past affiliation with Epstein, who killed himself in jail in August 2019 after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.

Maxwell was arrested Thursday at an estate in New Hampshire and later charged for her alleged part in the late financier’s crimes. Epstein's alleged victims have accused Maxwell of helping recruit and groom underage girls for Epstein and his clients.

Epstein has been linked to many prominent figures, such as former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew of England, law professor Alan Dershowitz, and more. All have denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

Maxwell is expected to name names “soon,” former federal prosecutor Francey Hakes told “Fox & Friends.” Given the potential jail time she faces, Hakes said he has little doubt that Maxwell will cooperate with authorities.

“She has to do every day of that minimum 10 years and she’s grown up a pampered, spoiled woman,” Hakes said. “There is no way that she would even consider going to jail for that length of time.”
