Freida Pinto wowed in an elegant green dress at the premiere of her new movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" on Thursday. The Indian actress was joined by co-stars James Franco and Tom Felton at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Pinto, who is best known for her portrayal of Latika in the Academy Award winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire," recently stared in Woody Allen's "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" and was lauded for her role in the controversial political flick "Miral."
She graced the "Apes" carpet in a green maxi dress and nude-colored patent leather pumps.
Pinto plays the lead role of 'Caroline Aranha' in Rupert Wyatt's new flick, set in present day San Francisco. The film tells the story of how man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. The film is set to open nationwide on August 5.
