‘Friends’ Star Matthew Perry Back To Using Dating App Raya After Molly Hurwitz Split

Matthew Perry is back to using the dating app Raya after his split from Molly Hurwitz.

Perry and Hurwitz dated for two years, but they decided to split earlier this month. The “Friends” alum has been quaranting alone since then.

A source told Us Weekly that Perry is back to using the dating app Raya. The insider claims that he has been “messaging girls and getting back into online dating again.”

According to the source, the “Mr. Sunshine” star deleted his account when he was dating the talent manager. However, now that he is single again, he is back to using the app.

Many of Perry’s close pals thought that he would be settling down with Hurwitz. An insider told the outlet that his close pals, including Courteney Cox, were hoping for the two of them to end up together.

“His inner circle have wanted to see him settle down for a long time, especially [former Friends costar] Courteney Cox, and they hope him and Molly go the distance,” a source said in February.

When the two were still together, Hurwitz would often visit Perry’s place. She would cook meals for them and they would bond over movies instead of going out.

Several sources said Hurwitz was a positive influence on Perry, who has been battling with alcohol and drugs.

“She brought him to a place where he’s positive and confident,” an insider said. “Nobody can remember seeing him this happy. He’s got a spring in his step that wasn’t there before.”

The couple didn’t reveal the reason for their separation. However, a source told InTouch Weekly that they parted ways because “it just wasn’t working anymore.”

The source claimed that Hurwitz tried to help her then boyfriend, but Perry was such in a dark place.

“Molly was good for him and you have to hand it to her for hanging in there so long, but you can only help someone so much,” the insider explained.

“At the end of the day, only Matt can help himself. He is in a really dark place and pals fear he may have relapsed. His issues run deep. He’s spiraling — that’s why he and Molly broke up.”

In March, Perry and Cox were rumored to be flirting with each other on Instagram. Perry commented on Cox’s TikTok video and even called her “honey.”

A source also told Us Weekly that Perry has always been in love with his on-screen partner and he didn’t get over her even after she started dating her partner Johnny McDaid.
