‘Friends' Star Matthew Perry Confirms Engagement To Molly Hurwitz After 2 Years Of Dating

Matthew Perry proudly announced his engagement to Molly Hurwitz, two years after they started seeing each other.

The "Friends" alum, 51, has decided to propose to his 29-year-old girlfriend and she said, "Yes." Perry confirmed with People that he and Hurwitz are already engaged.

"I decided to get engaged," he told entertainment news outlet

"Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time."

Perry and Hurwitz, a literary manager, started seeing each other in 2018. Although they have been together for two years, previous reports claimed that they split months ago.

In May, an insider told Us Weekly that Perry was back to using the dating app Raya and had been "messaging girls and getting back into online dating again" after his split from Hurwitz.

At the time, his close pals thought that he would be settling down with the talent manager because things were really great between the two. Even Perry's close pals, including Courteney Cox, were hoping that their relationship would end in marriage.

“His inner circle have wanted to see him settle down for a long time, especially [former Friends costar] Courteney Cox, and they hope him and Molly go the distance,” a source said in February.

They eventually rekindled their romance. Perry has since deleted his dating app account when he got back with Hurwitz.

Meanwhile, Perry’s fans are overjoyed with the news about his engagement. Many of them flooded his most recent post on Instagram with congratulatory messages.

"Congratulations on your engagement Chandler!! just don’t be like Ross and get divorced over and over," one commented.

"Congrats!!!! So happy for you," a different user added.

Several fans also expressed their joy and excitement on Twitter after hearing about Perry and Hurwitz’s engagement.
