Froyo proves most successful among Android versions
Android devices have seen a rise in popularity since their introduction, a recent report said.
Android 2.2, or Froyo, has been the most successful till date with more than 60 percent sale since 2010. The Éclair, which is version 2.0/2.1, has seen more than 20 percent success rate
Android Gingerbread, which was released early this year, has experienced nearly 8 percent success. Donut and Cupcake, which are Android 1.6 and 1.5 versions respectively, have a combined hit rate of about 4 percent.
The Honeycomb version of Android 3.0 and 3.1, however, has a surprisingly lower success percentage of only 0.6.
A pie graph has been provided by the developers to help monitor new android based apps and games easily. The graph shows an analysis of the Android platforms which ended on June 1, a report on the official Android Developers blog said.
