Frozen Christmas Eve 2017
“Frozen” is one of many family friendly flicks on TV during Christmas Eve. Disney

There is a time jump in “Frozen 2.” The film is set in a time when the two sisters Anna (Voice by Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Voice by Idina Menzel) have grown up a little. But that’s not the only surprise in the film.

Bell hasn’t seen the full movie yet, but she knows the script. In an interview with Comic Book, the actress confirmed that “Frozen 2” does not feel like an “Episode II” of the first film.

Instead of looking at it from the perspective of telling another story, the filmmakers wanted to explore the “next progression” in the lives of the main characters, according to Bell, and this should make the story exciting for the fans.

“It is a story that we waited a long time so that it would reveal itself to the creators,” Bell said. Some time has passed since the two sisters came together towards the end of the first film, and the plot this time around will also focus on the siblings.

Bell doesn’t like to call “Frozen 2” “a little more adult” because some time has passed. She prefers to say that the characters in the film “grew up a little bit.”

“It’ll still be appropriate for kids and kids will still love it, but these girls have grown up as well a little bit,” Bell said. The actress added that the fans who were “little girls” when they watched the first movie back in 2013 will be “pleasantly surprised” if they feel that the sequel is not for them.

The trailer of the film teased the plot to be about a journey to the forest in an enchanted land to learn the origins of Elsa’s powers. The story will explore the past of the two sisters, and everything isn’t what it seems to be.

According to a theory by Screen Rant, “Frozen 2” may reveal Elsa and Anna’s parents to be alive. The former king and queen of Arendelle were supposed to have perished at sea in a storm. Were the people wrong in there assumption? Will the two siblings be reunited with their parents?
