“Frozen 2” is about a journey Elsa (voice by Idina Menzel) and Anna (voice by Kristen Bell) will take with the other heroes to uncover the secrets about the past. The one question that many fans will be interested in about the past is whether the parents, who used to rule Arendelle before their tragic accident, are still alive.

The plot of the sequel is set three years after the events in the first movie. According to Screen Rant, the parents will play a big role in the movie.

The return of the parents has already been confirmed, but that confirmation is only for a flash back sequence. The movie will explore what happened to them when the ship went down at sea all those years ago.

There is a good chance that the parents died in the storm when their ship sank. However, since the plot is set in an enchanted forest it is possible that they are still alive and waiting for their daughters to rescue them.

“Frozen 2” will be introducing a new character called Lieutenant Mattias (voice by Sterling K. Brown). According to Entertainment Weekly, the character was trapped in the enchanted forest 30 years ago. He knew the former king and queen, and will reveal some of the details to Anna after he is rescued.

If a lieutenant and the soldiers from the army were trapped in the forest, and the sisters will be able to rescue them; is it possible that there could be others like them in the enchanted forest? It remains to be seen if the long build-up of the film with explanations and flashbacks of the parents will lead to a happy reunion of the whole family.

The journey of the two sisters in “Frozen 2” will be triggered by a strange voice that will call Elsa, Menzel previously told The Hollywood Reporter. Is this voice somehow connected to her parents? The fans will find out on Nov. 22 when the movie is released.
