Frustrated Tuchel Points Out 'Big Difference' Separating Chelsea From Title Rivals City, Liverpool [Watch]
KEY POINTS

- Mason Mount scored for Chelsea
- It was Mount's fourth goal in as many league games
A frustrated Thomas Tuchel has pointed that Chelsea's current fitness problems are the "big difference" separating the Blues from their title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool FC.
Tuchel's comments came after Chelsea were held at a 1-1 draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Thursday. As a result, Chelsea fell four points behind leaders Man City in the league table, and three behind second-placed Liverpool.
"The big difference is that City and Liverpool have no injured players. We have like six or seven players out, this can happen and you need the whole squad to be competitive and if not we struggle. It's not a problem, but we have to accept it. Totally unnecessary today, but it happens to us in the moment," Tuchel told beIN SPORTS after Chelsea's 1-1 draw.
Mason Mount, who has been in exceptional form for Chelsea in recent times, picked up a pass from Reece James and calmly struck it past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to put Chelsea 1-0 up in the 70th minute. However, four minutes later, 19-year-old defender Jarrad Branthwaite, in his maiden league appearance of the season, converted Anthony Gordon's free-kick at the back post to equalize.
It was Mount's fourth goal in as many Premier League matches for Chelsea. At 22 years and 340 days, Mount became the youngest player to score in four consecutive league appearances for Chelsea, according to Opta Joe.
Reacting to the result of the game, Tuchel said it is not easy for him to analyze why they are dropping points. In the last six games, across competitions, Chelsea have managed to secure only two wins.
"I don't think it's too easy to analyze the situation. There are some facts that we concede too many goals, which was not the case today. That we give away too many leading positions, yes this is a part of that and you can be sure that we are looking at it very honest, very critically. But it is for me not so easy to analyze why we are dropping points," Tuchel said in a post-match interview, Chelsea's official website reported.
Chelsea have little time to retrospect as they will next travel to West Midlands to face off against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.
