‘Fuller House’ Season 3 Spoilers: Everything We Know So Far
Friday is a big day in the world of “Full House.” It marks the show’s 30th anniversary of its premiere, as well as the premiere date for the first half of its third season on Netflix.
When part of Season 3 comes out on Friday, viewers will see D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) as she deals with the feelings she still had for Steve (Scott Weinger), though she’s still dating Matt (John Brotherton) and Steve is set to get married to his fiancé C.J., which the two want to do in Japan.
“D.J.’s love life is going to have lots of turmoil in it,” showrunner Jeff Franklin told Entertainment Weekly. “She and Matt are still dating, but D.J. still has some feelings for Steve that are complicating her love life, and Steve also has some feelings for D.J., even as his relationship with C.J. moves forward.”
Though this back-and-forth has been a huge part of the series in the past, it looks like it’ll continue to be so, for at least this new season, at least. Franklin told TVLine that this whole “ big, messy situation will get resolved in the two halves of the season.” What happens beyond that it still anyone’s guess.
Elsewhere in the new installment, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) is still trying to make sense of her discovery at the end of Season 2 that she’s not able to have children. She’s going to be looking for a way to bring a baby into her world.
Kimmy (Andrea Barber), on the other hand, is dealing with the child that she already has, and the fact that this child, her daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas), is growing up. Growing up too much and too fast for Kimmy’s liking.
“Kimmy’s biggest struggle this season is realizing that her daughter Ramona is growing up, starting high school, and doesn’t really want to hang out with Mom all the time,” Barber said to EW. “So she goes to great lengths to fit in with Ramona and the teenage crowd, which creates some hilarious and embarrassing situations.”
Just like in the past, familiar faces will still be seen in the new season. Danny (Bob Saget), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos) and Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier) will all make appearances. Also, Gia (Marla Sokoloff) will return and she’ll still be butting heads with D.J. And, just like her mom was when she was younger, Gia’s daughter, Rocki (Landry Bender), will be a bad influence on the other kids.
One good thing about Gia being back has to be the fact that there will be more Girl Talk reunions. The girls always had fun with it when they were young, and from the looks of it last season, it seems like they still do.
Other fun additions to the new season? Kimmy’s new catchphrase, “Sweet cheese!” Also, everyone will get to go inside and see the Gibbler house, which viewers haven’t been able to view in the past.
Though only the first half of the season will be premiering on Friday, it looks like the second half won’t be too far behind. Franklin told TVLine that the second part of the season will pick up with an outrageous episode set in Japan and will most likely premiere in December.
