As investigators continue to try and piece together what exactly happened to Gabby Petito during her cross-country van trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, some are beginning to point at the former Florida resident’s social media accounts as a clue to his potential state of mind prior to Petito’s death by strangulation.

Now that authorities have officially found Laundrie’s remains in a Florida park after more than a month of searching, and Petito’s cause of death was ruled as a homicide, many are trying to figure out what exactly happened between the couple during their summer trip, and have been using social media to try and see if they can decipher what not only led to Petito’s murder but also if Laundrie is somehow confirmed to be responsible for it if he had planned it in some capacity.

Now, posts on Laundrie’s Pinterest page seem to suggest creepy and macabre thoughts he was having, and they could be a hint regarding the mystery about his former girlfriend’s death.

According to the U.S. Sun, Laundrie’s final post on the site, a hand-drawn cover of a pamphlet called “Burnt Out,” could have indicated the explosive fight he and Petito were believed to have had the last time she was seen alive.

The guide, which talks about how to cope with autistic burnout, an “Intense physical, mental or emotional exhaustion” suffered by adults who have autism, which can lead to “outbursts of sadness or anger” and even suicidal thoughts.

Laundrie shared the post just days before an explosive confrontation at a Wyoming restaurant, which served to be the last place Petito was seen alive. After he had an altercation with staff at the restaurant, Petito was seen going inside to apologize for his behavior.

Other posts that are seen as disturbing are pins of clothing items with macabre messages—including “Sinner are Welcome, “Conspiracy,” “Sorry I am Not Sorry” and “When You Wake Up You Will Find Me.”

Skeletons, skulls, a pencil sketch of a bloodied and bruised woman and “my baby” on a gravestone were also found on the page.

In addition, Laundrie also shared a picture of a tattoo that appears to show a soup bowl full of women’s heads made to look like soup, the Sun also reported.

The case surrounding the couple, who documented their trip on the Van Life Youtube Channel, continues to make headlines because of the mystery surrounding it. It first made headlines in September, when Petito’s mother reported her missing after not hearing from her for weeks and failing to get in touch with Laundrie. Shortly after, he was also reported missing by his parents, despite returning to the Florida home he and Petito shared with them alone on Sept. 1.

Petito’s body was recovered in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sept. 19, and her cause of death was officially ruled as death by homicide, and the cause was also later revealed to be strangulation. A more than month-long search continued in Florida for Laundrie, who was never officially named as a suspect, with authorities focused on the Carlton Preserve, where Laundrie’s parents said he had told them he was going camping.

Remains confirmed to be Laundrie’s were found in Myakkahatchee Creek Park on Oct. 20, in an area that had previously been submerged in water. A cause of death has yet to be determined for Laundrie.
