Gabby Petito Case Update: Coroner Declares Cause Of Death By Strangulation
Gabby Petito's cause death was strangulation, a Wyoming coroner said Tuesday at a press conference.
Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue said Petito's body had been in the wilderness for 3-4 weeks before it had been discovered, which means Petito died in mid or late August.
Petito's body was found on Sept. 19 in Grand Teton National Park. Blue later determined that Petito's death was a homicide.
Blue cited Wyoming state statute for not releasing any further information about the autopsy other than cause and manner of death.
