Gabby Petito was a YouTuber and social media enthusiast. She had documented her trip with Laundrie, who accompanied her in a van.
Laundrie returned to Florida without her, which eventually led to her becoming an official missing person.
Officials have also confirmed that her death was a homicide, an autopsy is still being completed to determine exactly what had happened.
Laundrie has since gone missing as well and is considered a person of interest in the case. He has currently not been charged with a crime.
