Wonder Woman is all about love and saving mankind, and this was really showcased in her solo movie, “Wonder Woman” by Patty Jenkins. The movie was well-received by fans, and lead star Gal Gadot is extremely happy with it.

However, the same cannot be said of Diana Prince’s introduction in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” “The reason why she left the island was because she wanted to make their lives better and safer — they are her calling,” Gadot told Comic Book.

Gadot said it does not make any sense why Diana - whose mission is to save mankind - would ever abandon them.

“So, I’m giving you a very honest answer, but it was — sometimes in a creative process, you establish something that is not necessarily the right decision, but then you can always correct it and change it,” she continued. “So Wonder Woman will always be there, as far as she’s concerned, for mankind.”

Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman in “Justice League,” which will be released this November. She will be teaming up with other DC superheroes such as Batman (Ben Affleck), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Everybody has their own role to play in the team, and Gadot said Wonder Woman also has hers. Some are actually concerned that her superhero will steal the spotlight from the other characters, but Gadot believes otherwise.

“Diana serves as the glue of the team. She finds moments to support every one of the team and make them feel stronger or believe in themselves. But this is not a ‘Wonder Woman’ movie,” she told Cinema Blend.

Meanwhile, Affleck told Entertainment Weekly that he’s excited with what DC is doing to its movies. After so many failed attempts in the past, they seemed to have a turnaround with “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League.”

“This is a really nice time to work in DC. They’re hitting their stride. They’re getting it right. It’s starting to feel like it’s really working,” he said.

“Justice League” will hit theaters on Nov. 17.
