Countless leaked renders of the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone have surfaced in prior days, weeks and months. However, the most recent could possibly have been leaked directly from Samsung. The manufacturer shared a Tweet Thursday, with includes details about its Exynos 8895 chip and fans and pundits alike wonder than the device render included in the image could be the Galaxy Note 8.

Rumors suggest the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will likely run the Exynos 8895 chip, which is Samsung’s 2017 high-end system on a chip. The component also powers the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. While many would consider that the device shown in the advertisement could simply by a Galaxy S8+, due to its large frame, Samsung is commonly known to leak small details about its upcoming devices when release dates are quickly approaching.

At this time, the Galaxy Note 8 could be official in a matter of weeks. According to recent reports, the Galaxy Note 8 could release on Aug. 23 to precede the IFA conference in early September as well as the launch of rival devices, such as the iPhone 8, the Google Pixel 2 and the LG V30.

The renders shared by Samsung closely resemble many previously leaked renders; in particular, a design shared by Android Headlines earlier in July. It is likely the Galaxy Note 8 may closely resemble the Galaxy S8+ in design, with some small exceptions. The Galaxy Note 8 will likely be slightly larger. It is currently rumored to have a 6.3-inch dual-edge curved display, while the Galaxy S8+ has a 6.2-inch display. The biggest differentiator between the S line and the Note line is the S-Pen stylus included with Galaxy Note handsets.

However, Samsung’s ad does not show the bottom half of the phone, which would be a dead giveaway as to whether the handset was a Galaxy Note 8. Additionally, the ad shows only the front of the device. Rumors also suggest the Galaxy Note 8 may feature a dual camera setup, which, would also allow for easy differentiation between the unreleased device and the Galaxy S8+.

Instead of the Exynos 8895 chip, the Galaxy Note 8 may feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip in certain markets. Other rumored hardware features include 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage and a 3,300mAh battery. The device is expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and may come in black, blue and silver color options.
