Galaxy S8 Colors: Samsung To Introduce Coral Blue To US Market
U.S. consumers may soon be able to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Coral Blue if recent rumors are to be believed. Tech informant Evan Blass recently shared on Twitter, details about the new Galaxy S8 color availability; however, the news has not yet been confirmed by Samsung.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were announced in late March and released in late April, in Orchid Grey, Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue and Maple Gold color options, but only the gray, black and silver models were available in the U.S. market at launch.

There has been no word on why Samsung chose to limit the availability of the Coral Blue and Maple Gold Galaxy S8. These models are available in markets including Europe and Korea. Style trends in many Asian countries favor uniquely designed and accessorized smartphones.
There is no word on which U.S. carriers may offer the Coral Blue Galaxy S8. Other Samsung devices, which are available in the Coral Blue color option include the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 7. The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to return soon to Asian and Latin American markets as a refurbished or rental device. Defects within the Note 7 handset led to two recalls of the device and ultimately its discontinuation. However, Samsung decided to equip the smartphone with a battery of lower capacity, 3,200mAh, and release it once more. While the device has been approved by regulatory organizations, including the FCC, Samsung has not revealed details for its release.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch dual-edge curved infinity display while the Galaxy S8 Plus features a 6.2-inch display. Both devices include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 chip, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with microSD expansion. Camera features include a 12-megapixel rear lens and 8-megapixel front lens with f/1.7 aperture and auto HDR. The Galaxy S8 features a 3,000mAh battery and the Galaxy S8 Plus features a 3,500mAh battery.
Other aspects of the devices include their on-screen virtual home button and capacitive fingerprint scanner located on the back of the handsets. Other biometrics features include an iris scanner and facial recognition.
