'Game Of Thrones' Actress Maisie Williams Opens Up About Her First Love Scene
“Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams is all grown up and she has already had her first filmed love scene. While starring in the indie film “The Falling,” the young actress faced the acting challenge and she is opening up about it.
“It was extremely awkward,” said Williams, while talking to Vulture. She explained that when the scene was filmed, she was lucky that her co-star, Joe Cole, was very considerate of her lack of experience. “We went out for a couple of lunches and stuff just to get to know each other, and we had days of rehearsal where we'd get to know our characters and spend a couple of hours with each other” she said.
In an earlier interview with US Weekly, Williams also revealed that she was only 16 when the bedroom scene was filmed. It was a pretty big deal to her but she knew that she just needed to get it over with. In order to get through it, she decided to treat it like any other acting sequence, which she needed to rehearse, and then perform. She explained that she thought about her first on-screen romp between the sheets just like any scene but with “different activities.”
Despite being a newbie when it comes to raunchy bedroom scenes, Williams is already a seasoned actress. She has appeared in all five seasons of the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones.” She revealed that she was able to use her experience to help out some of the actresses, who were acting for the first time for “The Falling.”
When it comes to acting advice, Williams was very open. However, when it came to fellow cast members asking her about “Game of Thrones,” she says that she would threaten to spoil details about the next episode or the next season in order to fend off any probing questions.
“The Falling” is described as a mystery drama set in the 1960s. Williams stars as Lydia, one of the school girls in a private English school, who falls victim to a mysterious fainting spell that has taken over the school.
