"Game of Thrones" stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have become parents for the first time. They were spotted in London Tuesday with their baby.
The couple welcomed a baby boy and are “very, very happy,” Harington’s representative told multiple outlets, including Page Six.
New photos published by Page Six show Harington and Leslie sporting winter wear and holding hands, with the newborn baby strapped to the actress' chest. It seems like they had stepped out for some shopping as Harington was carrying a bag from the shop Sainsbury’s.
Leslie announced that she and Harington were expecting their first child together back in September 2020. The 34-year-old "Death on the Nile" star had debuted her baby bump on the cover of U.K.’s Make magazine.
She hadn't revealed any details about her pregnancy back then but spoke about life at their Tudor manor in East Anglia.
"What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It's a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbors. It's so peaceful," she told the magazine.
Speaking about the baby news, the magazine’s fashion editor, Ursala Lake, wrote on Instagram at the time: "A very special all-woman team photographic shoot capturing Rose at this wonderful time as she prepares for motherhood for the first time!"
In the following month, the actress shared her excitement over becoming a mom for the first time. "I am thrilled to be expecting, and I can't wait to meet the new member of our family!" she told the New York Post.
Leslie and Harington met on the set of "Game of Thrones," when she played Ygritte, a wildling who falls in love with his character, Jon Snow.
The couple tied the knot in June 2018 at Leslie’s family's castle, Wardhill, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Their wedding had been a mini-reunion for the "Game of Thrones” cast members as the couple's co-stars Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke also joined in the celebration.
Harington previously opened up about finding love on the set of the fantasy drama, which ran from 2011 to 2019.
"The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love," Harington said in a 2016 interview with Vogue. "If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, [it] becomes very easy to fall in love."
