‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 Spoilers: Evolution of Arya Stark Reveals A Dark Side; Who Will She Kill In The New Season?
Winter might be over for us here in New York but temperatures have only begun to drop in the world of the Westeros. With that said, you may want to postpone putting away your heavy jacket because rumor has it that Season 4 of “Game of Thrones” will leave you feeling ice cold. Especially when you see the evolution of sweet, sweet Arya.
When the fantasy series premieres on April 6 with episode 1, “Two Swords,” fans will be shocked when they discover the brutal transformation of Maisie Williams’ character. Now, we’ve always known Arya to be a bit of a tomboy. She loves getting her hands dirty and isn’t afraid to speak her mind—or hit a prince for that matter. Remember when Arya struck Joffrey with a stick in Season 1? That was the moment we became her biggest fan. Arya is an advocate of justice in “GoT”! Or at least, she was.
During Season 4 we’ll see the youngest daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark lose any innocence she might have had when she takes the dark road untraveled, seeking vengeance for her mother and brother’s death. The Red wedding has truly effected the young girl causing her to drastically transform into a colder character. And we don’t blame her.
As Arya begins her quest for revenge, she’ll be accompanied by the perfect sidekick to complete her mission: the Hound (Rory McCann). The two of them will leave a bloody trail behind them as they continue their journey in Season 4.
“Arya’s really changing this year and I’m not sure people are going to like who she’s becoming,” Williams told E! News. “She’s turning a lot darker and she’s not quite as fun as she used to be. It’s a different Arya than we’ve seen before.”
McCann bolstered her statement saying that Season 4 will be “bigger and badder.” Eek! We wonder what that could mean. Can you picture Arya and the Hound slaying countless souls on their mission to confront House Frey? Or will Maisie’s character be heading straight to King’s Landing to take on the Lannister’s? What ever her plan is, she better be careful. We heard Jaime has a thing for killing Stark children—or attempting to.
What do you think Maisie will be up to this season? Let us know your predictions in the comments section below!
