‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 5 Spoilers: Characters Alive In Books Will Die In Upcoming Season, Author Teases
Fans of HBO’s hit series, “Game of Thrones,” will see more shocking deaths in the upcoming season that will even shock the readers of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, the author reportedly teased during a recent interview. The warning comes few days after Sophie Turner, who plays the character of Sansa Stark in the series, revealed that some moments in the upcoming season may be “more shocking than the Red Wedding.”
“People are going to die who don’t die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. So everybody better be on their toes. David and D.B. (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, co-creators of the 'Game Of Thrones') are even bloodier than I am,” Martin revealed to Showbiz411 at the Writers Guild of America Awards.
Readers of the books are usually ahead of the television series as to which character deaths to expect. However, Martin revealed that some of the characters who are still alive in the books will die in “Game of Thrones” Season 5 and that the deaths have also surprised him.
Last year, the author had revealed that the four characters that were killed on the show were still alive in his books, which included Joyeuse Erenford, one of Walder Frey's wives, Daenerys Targaryen's handmaiden Irri, and Xaro Xhoan Daxos, a merchant of Qarth, The Huffington Post reported.
"Game of Thrones" Season 5 returns April 12 on HBO.
