'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Production Updates: Did Daario And Daenerys Body Doubles Fall In Love?
Is love in the air on the set of “Game of Thrones"? The body doubles for actors Michiel Husiman (Daario Naharis) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) have reportedly fallen in love.
Model-actors Ignacio Jimenez Blanco and Rosie Mac have reportedly started a romantic relationship after acting opposite each other in the hit HBO series. Petite blue-eyed model Mac stands in for Clarke in the role of the fiery and strong-willed Daenerys Targaryen. Meanwhile, dark-haired Jimenez Blanc, plays the role of Targaryen’s lover and loyal subject, Daario Naharis.
Several media outlets like the Mirror are reporting that the on-screen lovers have gotten together. The reports are pointing to clues about their possible budding romance, which could be seen on their respective Instagram sites.
Jimenez Blanco posted a photo two weeks ago of the two of them enjoying some time together while away from the set. They appear to be enjoying the summer sun with both of them sunbathing in their swimsuits. Mac’s face is hidden, but her washboard abs could clearly be seen in the pic. Her identity was revealed in the caption: “Getting some sun here with little @rosiemacc
#sun #day #relax #modellife.”
However, despite reports about a brewing romance, the captions on Mac’s posts say otherwise. She has constantly been calling her on-screen partner simply her “best friend.” In a post from three weeks ago, the two of them could be seen enjoying more time together. “Amazing weekend of Work and more work with my best friend@ignaciojimenezblanco #Dariodouble !!! Cant wait to show the results,” she said.
In another post, Mac and Jimenez Blanco appear closer as he hugs her from behind. The caption still refers to him as her "best friend" despite claims from a Mail Online report that the pair’s relationship has “escalated.” “With my partner in crime & best friend @ignaciojimenezblanco the #Dariodouble #gameofthrones,” she said.
It remains to be seen if reports of their on-screen romance extending into real life are true. Production for Season 6 of “Game of Thrones” is currently in full swing and the show is expected to air next spring.
