'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Script Leaked By Dothraki Actor; Daenerys' Fate Teased
“Game of Thrones” fans have been so focused on Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) fate that they may have forgot that Season 5 ended with multiple cliffhangers – one of them being Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) surrounded by Dothraki! The finale concluded before viewers could find out if the Dothraki were friend or foe to Khaleesi, but a leaked script might reveal the answer ahead of the Season 6 premiere.
Last week a French actor named Elie Haddad posted a photo of a script on an iPad. The image appeared innocent enough, but internet sleuths were able to zoom in on the text – revealing the word “Khaleesi.”
The photo was removed from Haddad’s Instagram account, but the damage was already done. “Game of Thrones” fan site Watchers on the Wall were able to make out some of the lines, one of them being: “I’d like to know what a Khaleesi tastes like.”
It seems safe to assume that the Dothraki are not friends of Daenerys, even though she used to be married to Dothraki warrior Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa). And another casting reveal makes the situation look grim for the Mother of Dragons.
Watchers on the Wall revealed earlier this week that actor Joe Naufahu will be playing a Dothraki named Khal Jhaqo. In George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels, Jhago used to be under Drogo, but took control of part of the Dothraki tribe after Drogo’s death.
Based on the books, Daenerys was supposed to go to the city of Vaes Dorhrak to mourn Drogo for the rest of her days. She never did that, which means that she could be on bad terms with the Dothraki. However, they also haven’t seen Drogon. Once they lay eyes on the dragon, they could potentially kneel before her. And if they don’t? Well, then Drogon can turn them into toast.
The script leak isn’t the only cliffhanger from Season 5 that has been solved. An upcoming new book called “Game of Thrones: The Noble Houses of Westeros: Seasons 1-5” also confirms the fates of Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) and Myrcella Lannister (Nell Tiger Free). Although the series didn’t show Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) executing Stannis, the book states that he did die. The same can be said for Myrcella, who collapsed in her father-uncle Jaime Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) after being poisoned. And of course, fans can't forget that Kit Harington was photographed in character on set in late September.
