‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: ‘NCIS’ Alum To Reportedly Play Dothraki Member
Fingers crossed that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is a fan of “NCIS.” Actor Tamer Hassan is reportedly the latest star to join “Game of Thrones” for its sixth season.
Hassan, 47, is an English actor best known for his role as Agah Bayar on “NCIS” and Basher on “24: Live Another Day.” However, he’ll be tackling an interesting new part in 2016. Hassan recently revealed that he has been cast on the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones.”
“I just finished doing ‘Game of Thrones,’ I loved it,” he told Bang Showbiz at the premiere of his new movie, “Breakdown.” “I can’t say too much about it but I’m part of that.”
Fortunately for fans, he did let out a major clue as he continued to talk about his top-secret role.
“You’ll see me quite a bit, it’s exciting what you’re going to see,” he added. “Learning that Dothraki language was a feat in itself … so I’ve given you a little but I’m not going to say too much!”
“Game of Thrones” viewers will remember that the Season 5 finale left off with Daenerys surrounded by the Dothraki after Drogon rescued her. She dropped her ring on the ground, but her fate was left up in the air. Would the Dothraki be friend to Drogo’s (Jason Momoa) former wife? Or is she an enemy for not going to Vaes Dothrak to join the dosh khaleen? But more importantly, will Jorah (Iain Glen) and Daario (Michiel Huisman) be able to rescue her?
Hassan is not the only actor to be cast as a member of the Dothraki. “Game of Thrones” fan site Watchers on the Wall revealed in November that actor Joe Naufahu was cast as a Dothraki member named Khal Jhaqo. The character exists in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” books and took control of the Dothraki following the death of Drogo.
In addition, a French actor named Eli Haddad revealed via an Instagram photo that he was playing a member of the Dothraki in the upcoming season. His news accompanied a photo of what appeared to be a page from the script. The image was quickly removed, but fans who found it first were able to decipher the word “Khaleesi” on the page. One of the lines is reportedly, “I’d like to know what a Khaleesi takes like,” hinting that Daenarys might not be in the hands of friends when Season 6 premieres on April 10.
