‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Maisie Williams Photographed On Set; Is Arya Stark Back In Winterfell? [PHOTOS]
Photos of Maisie Williams on the set of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 have recently surfaced online, and by the looks of her costume as Arya Stark, it seems that the former Faceless Man trainee is back in Winterfell.
As seen in the images, Williams is wearing a brown leather outfit that is very similar to Bran’s (Isaac Hempstead Wright) costume during his flashback scenes in Winterfell last season.
In addition, Watchers on the Wall reported that Williams’ newly surfaced photos were originally taken on Sept. 23 — the same day Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Wright were also spotted on set. Given this information, it’s likely that Arya will finally be reunited with her siblings in Winterfell next season.
Arya was last seen in the Season 6 finale of the HBO series. Upon arriving in Westeros from Bravos, Arya traveled to the Twins and killed Lothar Frey (Daniel Tuite), Walder Frey (David Bradley) and Walder Rivers (Tim Plester) while disguised as a serving girl. The three were key players at the Red Wedding where Arya’s mom Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), her brother Robb (Richard Madden) and sister-in-law Talisa (Oona Chaplin) were all murdered.
Although Arya is now closer to Winterfell than ever, Williams previously said that she doesn’t really want her character to be reunited with her family.
“I’d love for her to be a bit of a lone ranger,” Williams told People when asked how she would like to see Arya at the very end of the series. “I’d love for her to be kind of like The Hound [Rory McCann]. I don’t really want her to reunite with her family because I don’t think that they’re the same people anymore or that she’s the same person anymore. I think she’s better off on her own. I’d love for her to be alive, actually, and be her own boss.”
