Gameloft Announces MMORPG Sequel 'Order & Chaos 2: Redemption'
“Order & Chaos 2: Redemption” is the sequel to the hit mobile online game from publisher Gameloft. The game is set 600 years after the end of the first game’s story where things have actually gotten worse instead of better as a cataclysmic event destroyed all of the heroes from the first game. Now more heroes have finally emerged to take down the forces of evil.
Pocket Gamer reported the cataclysmic event happened after the heroes from the last game destroyed the Primal Heart with Khalin’s Hammer. The appearance of new heroes has yet to be explained and the short 29-second teaser for the sequel is very vague on what exactly happened during the cataclysmic event after the first game.
Like most online games, players will be able to choose among five races and character classes that suit the user’s fighting style. As the game progresses, players will be able to team up with one another and take on various monsters during quests or to get loot.
Online users will also be able to take each other on in player vs. player matches to see who has the best skills and loot. Since this is a game with plenty of loot, players will also have the option to craft new materials and upgrade existing ones for the best items.
While no release date has been given for the mobile title, fans can preregister on the game’s site and gain exclusive content once the online game is released. These items include dream fragments, experience potions, a gem of luck and a vigor elixir. Those who preregister will also get an exclusive look at the game’s concept art.
“Order & Chaos: Online” was a big hit when it was released, so there might be big expectations for “Redemption” from previous fans of the game. So far, no major differences have been revealed from the original game, but fans can expect an announcement in upcoming months. No price has been revealed for the game, so it will be interesting to see if it follows a free-to-play system.
