Gamer Dies in Internet Café, Corpse Remains Unnoticed for Nine Hours
In a bizarre incident, a gamer died in an Internet café in Taiwan and his lifeless body had remained there unnoticed for nearly nine hours.
Chen Rong-Yu, 23, died in the café in New Taipei city on night of Jan 31 while playing video games, apparently of a massive heart attack. His body sat rigidly on a chair with hands stretched out, agencies reported.
The corpse remained there all through the night and any of the nearly 30 fellow gamers present in the café failed to notice the death.
A waitress finally noticed the corpse the following day and alerted the police.
Primary investigations suggested that Rong-Yu died of heart attack triggered by low temperatures, the AFP said.
