Gavin DeGraw was released from hospital Tuesday evening after a brutal attack on Monday in New York.
A representative for the singer-songwriter told MTV that DeGraw, 34, was released from the Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for a concussion, broken nose, black eyes and cuts and bruises inflicted on him by unknown attackers in the East Village.
Police is still investigating the incident.
DeGraw told Twitter fans he intends to get well soon.
"Hi my friends," he tweeted. "Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."
DeGraw canceled upcoming concert appearances after the beating
The Los Angeles Times reported that police are hoping that security camera footage and other evidence may help determine who it was, as DeGraw, may have been intoxicated at the time, and has fuzzy recollections of his attacker and what had happened.
