Gavin Rossdale And Gwen Stefani’s Kids Will Get A Fun Surprise On First Post-Breakup Christmas
Gavin Rossdale isn’t letting his divorce stop the holiday fun. He shares three children with his ex, Gwen Stefani, who left him in August. Even though the split will probably affect some family traditions, Rossdale plans to have some fun with his sons right after Christmas.
The Bush frontman revealed that one of their Christmas presents is a vacation. “I am taking the boys on a special trip Dec. 26,” Rossdale teased to People. “Where we are going is a big surprise! ”
Rossdale and Stefani share three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 20 months. The father might need a little extra bonding time with the boys if he doesn’t spend Thanksgiving with them. Stefani, 46, supposedly has an offer to bring her children to new boyfriend Blake Shelton’s home for Turkey Day. As previously reported, her fellow “The Voice” judge invited Stefani’s family to Oklahoma.
It’s rumored there is no bad blood between Stefani’s ex and her new beau. The 50-year-old musician just wants his kids and his ex-wife to be content with their lives. “Gavin is an amazing father who only cares about his kids and is determined to protect them and shield them from all of this,” a source told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. “He is bummed that the marriage is ending, but he wants Gwen to be happy. If being with Blake makes her happy, so be it.”
When the Bush and No Doubt singers announced the end of their 13-year of marriage, they noted they would still parent their children together. “While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” Stefani and Rossdale said in a statement in August. They’ve agreed to the terms of their divorce, but the paperwork has not yet been finalized.
