The second night of Madrid's week-long Gay Pride festival saw the running of a high heeled race for men. More than 10 contestants take part in the annual race on high heels. The winner of the race receives a prize of 1000 euros.
The organizers of Gay Pride week in Madrid have resorted to silent DJ concerts in Chueca square this year after Madrid's city council prohibited exceeding noise limits in the square.
The revelers who want to listen to the DJ music at the square throughout Gay Pride week will have to use headphones connected to a radio or a smartphone.
