‘General Hospital’ Cast Changes: Why ABC Will Temporarily Replace Amanda Setton As Brook Lynn
When “General Hospital” fans see Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s storyline progress, things may look a bit different for a couple of weeks.
Daytime Confidential reported that the actress who plays Brook Lynn, Amanda Setton, will temporarily be replaced while she is out on maternity leave. However, details about who will take on the role have not been revealed.
Setton was first cast as Brook Lynn in 2019. Brook Lynn is the daughter of Ned (Wally Kurt) and his ex Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer).
The actress previously appeared on several television shows including “Gossip Girl,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “The Mindy Project,” as well as several other titles.
Setton isn’t the only “GH” cast member who will be temporarily recast. Kelly Monaco, who plays Sam McCall, will be temporarily replaced by Lindsay Hartley.
Last week, Monaco’s mother, Carmina, revealed the star was suffering from a “breathing problem” and is expected to return to work soon.
“Kelly is great and should be back on set Monday. 14 day quarantine after a breathing problem with mask 1st day back. 3 negative Covid test, I’d say she is better than great. Thank you for all of the love,” she tweeted.
As for Setton's character, viewers last saw Brook Lynn struggling to find a way to get out of a contract with her shady manager. Although she initially went to the Quartermaines to bail her out of trouble, they refused to help.
Eventually, Brook Lynn was able to blackmail Julian (William deVry) into intimidating the guy, however, there’s no telling if the creepy businessman will return for revenge.
“General Hospital” airs on weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
